A new rule has come into force in Tollywood. The Film Chamber of Commerce has made it mandatory for actors and technicians to resume the shooting of unfinished projects before proceeding to work on new films.
The production works of scores of films got stalled in April this year after coronavirus cases saw a surge. Barring a handful of important films (such as ‘Maestro’), most of them are yet to resume their shoots.
In this regard, film industry representatives have zeroed in on a plan to finish the shootings of pending projects so that producers are not inconvenienced further. Already, they have had to pay interest on borrowed sums.
It has also been decided that artists, technicians and workers (as well as junior artists) should have received at least one dose of the vaccine if they have to participate in production works.
