It is known that India has airlifted 168 passengers from Kabul to India. All passengers have arrived at the Hindon IAF base in Ghaziabad. All Afghanistan returnees were undergoing Covid RT PCR tests at the Hindon base.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted that all those who reached Delhi have been inoculated with free Polio vaccine-OPV and fIPV. He said it as a preventive measure against Wild Polio Virus.
Among 168 people who have been evacuated from Kabul, there was an infant too. Indian officials brought her without a passport. The video of the infant’ sister playing and kissing with her was emotional and heartwarming. The bonding of those two pure innocent souls was adorable.
On the other hand, an Afghanistan woman shared her grief to ANI that her house has been burnt by the Taliban. She said that Indian brothers and sisters have come to her rescue. She thanked the Indian government for rescuing them. She said that she reached India with her daughter and two grandchildren. The Afghan National said the situation in Afghanistan was deteriorating.
As per the ANI, More than 2000 calls have been received by the Afghan special cell that was established by MEA. Nearly 6000 queries over Whatsapp and more than 1200 emails were replied to for five days.
