Health Minister Sudhakar said the corona curfew which imposed to control corona till the 12th of this month wasn’t given expected results. So he said that they decided to implement a complete lockdown in the state. He told the media in Bangalore on Thursday that although the corona curfew had already been imposed a week ago, the control of the Covid cases was not coming under control. They are increasing in thousands every day to 30-50 thousand in a week. He said there was no other way to corona control other than to enforce lockdown.
He said the people were not fully cooperating with the rules imposed by the government. He said the government has allowed for morning necessities, but people from all over the state are flocking everywhere in the morning. He said the pressure on the medical department has increased as the number of cases is increasing day by day.
He said 1 crore people have been vaccinated so far. People over the age of 18 will be vaccinated after the 15th of this month. The third instalment was aimed at everyone before the surge of Covid third wave. He said he had no dissatisfaction with the handing over of responsibilities to five senior ministers for Covid control. He said it was difficult to oversee everything alone in the current difficult situation and that their cooperation had become overwhelming. He said it was possible to get things done faster.
Responding to the demand of CM’s political secretary Renukacharya over his resignation, Sudhakar said he became Minister after submitting his resignation letter only. He said it was inappropriate to talk politics in the current circumstances, even while serving as a Corona soldier.
