All above 40 years of age will be vaccinated by 15th July

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan has directed the medical authorities to ensure that at least one corona vaccine dose is given to all those above 40 years of age in the state by July 15. In addition, the authorities are preparing to study the virus genome sequencing in those infected with corona even after taking the vaccine and corona infections in children.

The CM who held a key meeting on the strategy to be followed to thwart the Corona third wave has issued several directives to the officials. According to the latest figures released by the central government, a total of 1,89,232 people have recovered from corona in the last 24 hours and the total number of recovered people in the country reached 2,69,84,781.  The officials said the recovery rate is  93.67 in the nation. The number of active cases was 14,77,799.
