An FIR has been registered against former AIADMK leader V Sasikala and his supporters at the Roshanai police station in the Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu.
The FIR was registered by the police following a complaint lodged by former AIADMK minister CV Shanmugam that he had received threats through social media and mobile phones. The case was registered under IPC Sections 506 (1), 505 and 109. The Police said 501 of her supporters, including Sasikala, were booked under charges of intimidation and were being investigated.
After the Tamil Nadu assembly elections, there has been news viral on social media that VK Sasikala is coming back to AIADMK and everything will be set right. Later, AIADMK official spokesperson clarified that there is no connection to Sasikala with the party and warned to suspend those who are in contact with her.
They sacked some AIADMK representatives too who were in touch with former AIADMK Chief VK Sasikala.
