Antibody Cocktail treatment for Covid-19

Antibody cocktail was used for the first time in the country in corona treatment. An 82-year-old Covid patient of Haryana has given the first dose two days ago. He is currently recovered from the virus and has been discharged. Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman, Medanta Hospital, Gurugram, disclosed the details of the antibody cocktail treatment to the media.

As part of this cocktail treatment, two types of antibodies are initially given to corona victims. These prevent the virus cells from spreading throughout the body. Doctors say that these work effectively on the covid 19, b. 1.617 type variant. This antibody cocktail reduces the need for patients to go to the hospital by 70 percent.

Dr Naresh Trehan explained that this is like our new weapon on the corona epidemic. The drug was developed by combining two antibodies that fight the covid virus. It has been approved by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation of India. This antibody cocktail was recently launched in the Indian market jointly by Rosh India and Cipla. The dose rate is Rs. 59,750 fixed.
