AP government postpones 10th Class exams

Despite the AP government having imposed a lockdown, there has been no decline in covid cases as expected. So, the YS Jagan government has decided to postpone tenth class exams which were scheduled to be conducted from 7th June onwards.

In July, the government will decide after reviewing the covid situation in the state.  The AP government told the high court that it had decided to postpone the SSC board examinations. Today a petition to postpone and hold the tenth class examinations only after vaccinating government teachers was heard in the High Court.  
In this context, the AP government has told the high court to postpone the Tenth exams. The government has said it has no plans to open schools. However, the High Court directed the AP government to provide a written statement on the tenth exams.
