Bengal violence: VHP says Hindus have right to self-defense

Vinod Bansal, the National Spokesperson of the Vishva Hindu Parishad, on Tuesday said that the Hindu society has the full right to self-defense in the face of violence in West Bengal. After TMC won a landslide on Sunday, hoodlums identified as TMC activists started resorting to arson, killings and rape.
Saying that anti-social goons and jihadi elements of the ruling TMC are victimizing Hindus, VHP stated that many Hindus have been repetitively terrorized by political rivals.
“The violent attacks have killed more than a dozen people so far and many houses, shops, temples, settlements, and business establishments have been destroyed,” the statement says.
