ICC has cut two points each from both England and Indian cricket teams. And also penalised 40% of the match fee for both the teams due to the slow over-rate in the first Test match, Nottingham.
The first Test match has been ended in a draw after the rain has spoiled the final day. As per the ICC rules, both teams will be given four points each if the match ends in a draw. And 6 points will be given if it is a tie.
ICC will award 12 points to every win. After the draw, both teams have reached London to play the second Test match in the magnificent Lords Cricket stadium. The second Test match will start on 12th August at 3:30 PM IST.
Indian Opener Mayank Agarwal who missed out on the first Test match due to injury has recovered and started practising in the nets. On the other hand, Indian pacer Shardul Thakur was suffering from a hamstring issue.
English pacer Stuart Broad has tweaked his calf and will go for a scan.
