Cabinet approves increase in DA

Here is great news for the central government employees.  On the one hand, Corona and rising inflation, the Modi-led government has increased DA for the central government employees.

Today, Union Minister Anurag Thakur has announced that the central government has approved to increase Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief from 17% to 28%. It has increased an eleven percentage(11%) over the existing rate. It will be effective from 1st July.

The decision was taken at a Union Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday. So far three instalments of DA have not been received by Central Government employees. The central government stopped increasing DA during the corona crisis. Now, it has increased 11% over the existing rate of 17%.
