Can Brahmanandam make the audience cry in ‘Panchathantram’

In ‘Panchathantram’, an upcoming Telugu movie directed by Harsha Pulikpaka, Brahmanandam is playing a narrator named Veda Vyas. As per the makers, he will be seen mouthing sentimental (read emotional) lines.

For long, the legendary comedian has played exclusively comedic roles. In films such as ‘Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu’, he was seen in a few serious scenes. But that was in the 1990s. Only star directors such as EVV Satyanarayana could imagine the beloved comedian in sentimental scenes.

After many years, here is a film that has given Brahmi a serious-cum-comical role. As Veda Vyas, the actor will narrate the lives of the key characters, perhaps on the lines of what Tanikella Bharani’s character did in ‘Raja Raja Chora’.

The question is, can Brahmi make the audience emotional with his performance?
