CJI unveils Legal aid services app

Chief Justice of India NV Ramana has unveiled the Legal aid services app. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the entire legal workforce of legal services and institutions must install this app. This tool will allow anyone to submit a legal aid application from anywhere in India in just a few seconds.

These types of apps cannot impede any work of legal institutions in tough times like Covid-19. And it allows continuing legal aid services.  The CJI expressed happiness over launching the legal aid services app on the same day the great Mahatma Gandhi launched the Quit India movement on 8th August 1942.

He recalled how the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi had dethroned British power. Mr Ramana said it was a firmly implanted wish to end inequality and discrimination.
