Congress high command seems to support ‘Divide Kashmir from India’ remarks

After President Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Navjot Singh Sidhu’s advisors Malwinder Singh and Pyare Lal Garg’s comments on Kashmir followed by sharing the most controversial and objectionable sketch of Late Former PM Indira Gandhi, they faced ire from BJP as well as their own party leaders.

The faction of Punjab CM Amarinder Singh denied their remarks and demanded action against them. They also said that any comments that damage and pose a threat to national security will not be tolerated.

Pertaining to these comments, neither Sidhu nor Congress High Command hasn’t been responded. Over the silence of Congress High Command, BJP National President JP Nadda urged whether the topmost national leadership of Congress is supporting those remarks or not.

He called their silence seems to implicitly support the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President’s aides’ comments.

On the other hand, the faction of Sidhu will meet Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi to replace Captain Amarinder Singh as Punjab CM for the smooth functioning of their party in the state.

Here is what Mr Nadda tweeted, “I would urge the topmost national leadership of Congress to state clearly whether they support remarks on Kashmir & Pakistan made by Congress leaders in Punjab? Silence on matter will be seen as implicit support to such objectionable remarks.

Recent comments by Punjab Congress leaders, who enjoy patronage of topmost state leadership & High Command in Delhi, are reprehensible. They’re repeatedly making irresponsible statements that have grave implications on national security”.
