Congress MP Shashi Tharoor is innocent in Sunanda Pushkar’s murder case

On Wednesday, a Delhi sessions court freed Congress MP Shashi Tharoor from all charges in the Sunanda Pushkar murder case. Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in a hotel room in January 2014. The medical report indicated that Sunanda had taken drugs. And this case is being investigated by the police on the charge of murder.

The police have registered a case against Kerala Congress MP Shashi Tharoor for inciting suicide under IPC sections 498A and 306 in the Sunanda case and submitted a charge sheet. The case was discharged by the Delhi Sessions Court on Wednesday.

After he’s been vindicated, the Congress MP who thanked the Delhi Court has said, “It had been 7 and half years. It was torture. I’m so grateful.”
