Congress toolkit created to destroy India’s image: BJP

The BJP on Tuesday said that a toolkit was created by the Congress Party’s Research Department to tarnish the country’s image at a time when the pandemic is raging. BJP spokespersons Sambit Patra and Amit Malviya shared a set of documents which they claimed were written by the Congress party. Later, BJP National President JP Nadda amplified the accusation and tore into the opposition party.

The toolkit is allegedly about ensuring that bed shortages, among others, were created. “Dividing society and spewing venom against others….Congress is a master at this. India is seeing Congress’ antics, while the nation is fighting COVID-19. I would urge Congress to go beyond ’Toolkit Models’ and do something constructive,” wrote Nadda on Twitter.

In one of the documents, the writer says that Kumbh Mela should be projected as a super-spreader event. In another page, the new strain is sought to be described as the Modi variant.

Calling out the Congress, BJP’s Sambit Patra wrote, “Toolkits are not alien to the Congress and their eco-system. Infact, a substantial part of their energy goes into making them. Here is a toolkit on the Central Vista…they make one Toolkit of the other every week and when exposed, they “deny” it.”
