The Delhi government announced to re-open schools, colleges and coaching centres in a phased manner from 1st September. First classes will be re-opened for 9-12 classes and after a week, 6-8 classes will be allowed.
Today, Arvind Kejriwal’s government stipulates setting up quarantine centres at all schools and colleges for emergency use. Schools, Colleges and coaching centres will run with only 50% capacity. Regarding this, the government issues an SOP.
Before coming up with this decision, the Delhi government surveyed the re-opening of schools. Most of the parents confessed to sending their children to school whereas very few didn’t go with it. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said that no children will be forced to attend physical classes without the consent of parents, attendance will be given to absentees.
He said that both online and offline classes will be continued simultaneously. The Deputy CM also told that most of the teachers have been inoculated with Covid first jab.
