The World Health Organization (WHO) says that masks must be worn even by those who have taken the prescribed doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. The Delta variant is very dangerous and spreads rapidly, and even those who have been fully vaccinated must adhere to the Covid-19 protocols. WHO says wearing a mask and maintaining physical distance is a must.
Speaking to the media at the Geneva headquarters, Mariangela Simao, WHO Assistant Director-General for Drug Access, Vaccines and Pharmaceuticals,said those who took two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine should also follow the Covid guidelines. She said the vaccine alone did not stop the Covid outbreak.
He explained that hands should be kept clean, physical distance should be observed and most people should not congregate in one place. The WHO says corona virus variants such as the delta variant are spreading in various countries around the world.
