Don’t spread lies on cinema ticket sale portal: Perni Nani

Andhra Pradesh Minister Perni Nani on Tuesday has criticized the Opposition for allegedly trying to spread rumours about the Jaganmohan Reddy government’s proposal to create an online portal through which cinema tickets will be sold. Nani, speaking to the media at a presser in Amaravathi, clarified that there is no plan, as of now, to sell the tickets only through the government-created portal.

“We have formed a committee as of now to look into the issue. The portal will enable transparency. It will help curb tax evasion and also the sale of black tickets. It has been the opinion of many in the film industry that such a portal comes into existence. The Opposition, meanwhile, must not indulge in any sort of propaganda,” Nani said.

The Minister said that the views of film industry personalities will be taken into account on the development of the portal.
