Flop with Nithin hasn’t affected me: Priya Varrier

Priya Prakash Varrier has opened up on the failure of ‘Check’, which was her first straight Telugu film. In her latest interview, the ‘wink’ sensation of 2018 said that she got her due from the thriller.

“My screen time was limited in ‘Check’. Director Chandrasekhar Yeleti sir appreciated my performance in it,” Priya, who hails from Kerala, said. The actress was seen as Nithin’s love interest in the semi-sports drama.

Priya Varrier, who completed her graduation in 2020, is counting on ‘ISHQ’. “The romantic thriller is my first full-fledged Telugu movie. Director SS Raju was so cool on the sets. And it was nice working with Teja Sajja, my co-star,” Priya said. The film will hit the cinemas on July 30.

She is looking for performance-oriented and content-driven movies in Malayalam. “I am also looking forward to bagging offers in Telugu. I am familiar with the language. If I do two more movies in Telugu, I will be fluent,” Priya added.
