Former Kerala CM, AP Congress Incharge, Oommen Chandy has clarified Megastar Chiranjeevi’s role in the Congress party after the AP state bifurcation. Mr Chandy has participated in Former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao’s birth centenary today at Andhra Ratna Bhavan in Vijayawada.
During the media interaction, he has clearly said that Megastar Chiranjeevi is not anymore related to Congress. After the state bifurcation, he did not participate in any of the events organized by the party. He made it clear that Former Union Minister Chiranjeevi did not belong to the Congress.
In PV Narasimha Rao’ Birth Centenary celebrations, along with him many senior state and central leaders have participated. Meanwhile, the AICC has decided to hold protests over petrol prices and the State Congress will hold protests all over from 7th- 17th July.
He said Congress was committed to special status to Andhra Pradesh and was incensed that the BJP had cheated. Mr Chandy criticized the two governments for failing in terms of status.
