High Court orders Telangana Police not to stop the ambulances

The state high court granted a stay on the circular issued by the Telangana government. HC ordered to issue a new circular by making the changes in the currently released circular. The Telangana High Court said patients from other states can contact the control room for medical assistance and it also said that the control room did not have the right to stop the entry of the patient coming into the ambulance. That no decision be made until further orders are given.

The High Court has directed the Telangana Police not to stop the ambulances. The AP government was implied in the petition. Advocate General Shriram heard arguments on behalf of the AP.

The High Court upheld the AP government’s objections. The AP AG said it was a violation of Article 14 if states withheld entry. The High Court adjourned the case till May 17.
