I should have banned Facebook, Twitter: Donald Trump

Former US President Donald Trump, congratulating Nigeria for blocking access to Twitter recently, has commented that he should have imposed a ban on the social media giants Facebook and Twitter when he was in power. He even suggested that he will do so when he becomes President, once again, in 2024.

“Perhaps I should have done it while I was President. But Zuckerberg kept calling me and coming to the White House for dinner telling me how great I was. 2024?” the Republican leader said.

He said that Twitter and FB dictate good and evil while being evil themselves. Trump, in his own style, urged the different nations of the world to ban them for not allowing free and open speech.
After Nigeria recently banned Twitter, the micro-blogging site said, “We are deeply concerned by the blocking of Twitter in Nigeria. Access to the free and #OpenInternet is an essential human right in modern society. We will work to restore access for all those in Nigeria who rely on Twitter to communicate and connect with the world.” There are calls for Twitter’s ban in India as well.
