On Saturday, Petrol prices rose again in the country. For the 14th time, petrol prices were hiked and it was putting an additional burden on motorists. The Petrol prices in cities of Hyderabad in Telangana, Patna in Bihar and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala have crossed Rs. 100/- on Saturday. The petrol and diesel prices have risen several times since 4th May.
In Mumbai, the petrol price was hiked by Rs 104.22 per litre. The price of a litre of diesel was Rs 96.16. In Hyderabad, petrol was priced at Rs 101.39 per litre on Saturday. The diesel price in Hyderabad was Rs 96.63 per litre. Petrol prices have increased exorbitantly in Lucknow, Bhopal, Noida, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and Delhi.
The Rajasthan government is levying the highest VAT on petrol in the country. After that, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have the highest VAT on petrol. With petrol prices rising day by day, a heavy burden is being placed on the common man.
