In Telangana, Parking fees are charged at theatres

Due to Covid-19, Owners of movie theatres are in dire financial straits. To get out of them, Owners are charging parking fees for vehicles at theatres. The owners of single-screen theatres say they have run out of money with Corona and are therefore implementing paid parking.

Comparing to the past, theatres are not running with packed houses despite movies have been rated with 3 stars. Telangana government is also allowed single-screen theatres to collect park fees. And there is no parking fee in multiplexes.

On the other hand, the AP government hasn’t responded to the plea made by Tollywood regarding the ticket prices’ issue. Recently, the team headed by Megastar Chiranjeevi has met Andhra minister Perni Nani and discussed the problems facing by Telugu cinema due to the pandemic. They have also discussed the problems that would face by distributors, exhibitors, and theatre owners if the rates of ticket prices were fixed with two decades back’ prices.

As per the sources, AP Jagan has given an appointment to Megastar Chiranjeevi on 4th September to discuss the problems of Tollywood along with the ticket fares’ issue.
