India vs Sri Lanka limited over series will be played without the crowd

Before IPL 2021 resumes, team India will go for a Sri Lankan tour. There, India will play three ODIs and three T20s. The Sri Lankan Cricket Board confirmed that this limited-overs series will be hosted by Colombo and it will be played without any crowd due to the Covid pandemic. This bi-lateral limited over series will be started in July.

The Star cricketers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli won’t be available for this series. As Shreyas Iyer is not fit, either Shikhar Dhawan or Hardik Pandya are likely to lead the team.

As per sports analyst John, the tentative date for the Indian team to stay in bio-bubble before leaving for Colombo at Mumbai will be on 19th May. Regarding the date, an official confirmation was required.

According to Espn Cricinfo, the likely dates for the India vs Sri Lanka series: July 13 – 1st ODI, July 16 – 2nd ODI, July 19 – 3rd ODI, July 22 – F1st T20, July 24 – 2nd T20  and July 27 – 3rd T20.
