Indian Golfer Aditi Ashok misses an Olympic medal by a slender margin

For Indians, except for Cricket, no sport is considered as sport. We don’t care for other sports. And everyone wants their son/daughter to be a cricketer. Later, Badminton players like Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu. And no parent encourages their children to pursue a career in other sports like cricket. Thanks to the Odisha CM Navin Patnaik and the great fighting spirit of our Indian Women’s and Men’s Hockey team has now changed the mindset of many Indians and made everyone fall in love with hockey as well as other sports.

Along with Badminton, now there is a hope blooming that Indians’ allow their children to pursue careers in other sports like Hockey, shooting, wrestling, boxing etc., While everyone’s attention on wrestling, hockey medal matches, with her stunning performance Aditi Ashok made every India to surf about the Golf. She topped the leaderboard after successive holes 5 and 6.

On the final day, she missed the bronze medal by a very slight margin. The World Number 200 Aditi Ashok finishes fourth by missing the crucial birdie by a slender margin.

World No.1 Nelly Korda finished at 1,  World No.6 Inami Mone finished at 2  and  World no.11 Lydia Ko finished at 2 and the pride of India, World No.200 Aditi Ashok finished at 4th position.  She is undoubtedly one of the greatest Indian players in the Olympics. Her efforts entice many to opt for Golf as their career.  What an incredible achievement by Aditi to not only stay in the contention of medals but compete with the finest golf players in the world.

PM Narendra Modi, Union Minister Anurag Thakur and the entire India are lauding the great performance of 23-year-old Aditi Ashok. In the game, Aditi’s mother is her caddie. This is the kind of support our sportspersons need to deliver wonders.
