Indian players will go for another Antigen test after Krunal is tested positive

After Krunal Pandya tested positive, all Indian players who have been in close contact with him went for the RT-PCR test and they’ve been tested negative. Today, the second T20I between India and Sri Lanka will be played at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

The RT-PCR test conducted for 8 players who were in close contact with Krunal Pandya has been tested negative.  All these players Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Gowtham, Manish Pandey, Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav, Chahal and Shikhar Dhawan were in close contact with Krunal  The decision for playing them in the last 2 T20 is yet to be taken.

According to the sports analyst [email protected], these players will go for another antigen test and if they tested negative, then the team management will decide the final eleven for the second T20.

Shikhar Dhawan may not play the Sri Lanka T20 series as he was in isolation. Krunal Pandya has been moved to another hotel. India is likely to open with Ruturaj and Padikkal if close contact players are not allowed to play in the T20 series.

Until Krunal Pandya will test negative, he won’t travel with team India after the T20 Series. And he will have to undergo quarantine.

Both Surya Kumar Yadav and Shaw who were picked up for the England Test series won’t be reached on time for the first three test matches as they have to undergo the quarantine after reaching England.
