The Indian Hockey team has lost to World No.2 Argentina in the semi-final clash. It is heartbreaking as the team has lead 1-0 and lost the match 1-2. For more than three decades, the Women’s team hasn’t qualified for the Olympics. But this time, it has not only qualified but done brilliantly.
After losing back to back matches at the group level, and the way it fought back and reached quarters and entered into semi-finals is phenomenal. Their fighting spirit is inspiring. Not only the Women’s Hockey team but also the Men’s Hockey team and all players of India have shown a lot of guts, grit, determination, passion, and commitment.
The Women’s Hockey team will fight with Great Britain for the Bronze medal on 6th August. In wrestling, Ravi Kumar Dahiya (57kg) beats Kazakhstan’s Nurislam Sanayev and entered into Olympics final. Indian Men’s Hockey team will play against Germany for the Bronze, tomorrow at 7 AM IST.
