IPL 2021 is suspended

As reported earlier, IPL 2021 is suspended indefinitely. BCCI Vice-President, Rajeev Shukla confirmed the suspension of this IPL season.  Today, SRH player Wriddhiman Saha and Delhi player Amit Mishra have been tested positive.

Earlier, the BCCI officials have said to be considered shifting the remaining IPL matches to Wankhede and DY Patil Stadiums. With today’s new cases, BCCI has come up with this decision of suspending IPL 2021 by keeping in mind the safety of players, especially those who have come from other countries.

Yesterday, two KKR players Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier were tested positive. The entire CSK went into isolation after the bowling coach, Balaji tested positive. Five DDCA workers have also been tested positive.
