Yesteryear star actress Juhi Chawla today filed a suit in Delhi High Court against the implementation of 5G in India. A celebrity, she is also an environmentalist. The suit is against the implementation of 5G wireless network, which some deem is against the health of the people.
“The suit has directed the concerned department to certify that 5G technology is safe for humankind and all kinds of animals and birds,” the spokesperson of Juhi Chawl has been quoted as saying.
The Bollywood film personality has come in for some lecturing by Netizens. Dr. Monica, a research scholar, wrote, “Indian telecom sector just finally stood on its two feet. More than 38 countries already switched to 5G. But here an irrelevant celebrity had to a file a PIL to further delay things!”
A Twitter user named Vanamali tweeted, “For a country with grossly inadequate healthcare infrastructure (even after two waves of a deadly pandemic), telemedicine and Artificial Intelligence-based surgeries are extremely important. It’s funny few celebrities with access to the largest of the corporate hospitals have issues with it.”
