Kerala is accountable for more than 80% of covid-19 cases in India

The Ministry of Health has released an update about the Covid-19 cases in the country and the vaccines administered in the last 24 hours. According to the update, India records 47,092  new cases in the country. Among more than 32k cases are from Kerala. The TPR rate alone in Kerala is more than 15%. Overall, in India, the daily TPR rate is 2.80%. The recovery rate currently in the nation is at 97.48%.

In Kerala, Covid-19 cases haven’t been come down so far. It is clearly mentioned not to allow theatres until and unless the TPR rate comes down below 5% in the state. The Kerala government has been enforcing strict covid protocols in whichever territories that TPR rate is higher and eased restrictions in those places that have TPR rate below 5%.

The Central government is in touch with the Kerala state government and closely monitoring the situation.  The opposition parties BJP and Congress have been criticising the Pinarayi Vijayan’s government for lifting restrictions during Eid Al Adha(Bakrid) and Onam.

In India, more than 81 lakh doses have been administered in the past 24 hours. With this, 66.30cr vaccine doses have been administered nationwide so far.
