The Kolkata Police is currently interrogating Legendary Bollywood actor, BJP Leader, Mithun Chakraborthy over his alleged hate speech during the election campaign. The Police lodged an FIR against him for using his film dialogues that were inciting hatred in nature.
After joining in the BJP in the presence of Narendra Modi on 7th March at the election rally at the Brigade Parade grounds, Mithun Da has had reportedly made a controversial statement “maarbo ekhane lash porbe soshane” and “ek chobole chobi”. The Kolkata Police alleged in their FIR that this speech of him was inciting hatred and it was the reason for the post-poll violence.
The Legendary actor has joined the probe virtually and said that dialogues in his speech were recreated from films. He denied allegations made by the Police and said his speech was not inciteful of hatred.
Today, Mithun Chakraborty is celebrating his 71st birthday.
