‘Love story’ has an uphill task at box office

‘Love story’ is scheduled to hit the cinemas on September 10. Unless it is postponed owing to the OTT release of ‘Tuck Jagadish’ on the same date, the film will target the Ganesh Chavithi audience.

To be sure, the Naga Chaitanya-Sai Pallavi starrer has an uphill task to accomplish. This holds true for the Overseas market, especially. A source in the know has claimed that the Sekhar Kammula directorial will have to make around $1-1.2 million with VPF to have a breakeven in the US.

For perspective, the only Telugu film that has pulled it off since the onset of the pandemic is ‘Jathi Ratnalu’, which was a massive hit. ‘Love Story’ has to do it at a time when coronavirus cases are going up in the US.
