Lovlina Borgohain earns a Bronze medal in her first Olympics

23-year-old Young Indian boxer Lovlina Borgohain has earned a Bronze medal in her maiden Olympics. She gave a tough fight to Busenaz Sürmeneli of Turkey 0-5 in a women’s welterweight (64-69kg) semifinal match.

As said after the quarterfinal’s match, Lovlina has put all her blood, sweat, and toil in this semi-finals to defeat Turkey’s Busenaz Sürmeneli. Despite she couldn’t make it to the finals, Lovlina earned a bronze medal. With this medal, India got a total of three medals, two bronze and one silver.

In other matches, Ravi Kumar Dahiya and Deepak Punia qualified for the semi-final of Wrestling. In the Javelin throw, Neeraj Chopra finished top in group A and qualified into the final round of Men’s Javelin.
