CM KCR said that Dalit woman Mariamma’s lockup death is the most painful one. He said that the government will not tolerate such actions.
He has directed the DGP to investigate the police responsible for the lockup death of Mariamma and take strict action. If necessary, the CM KCR ordered to suspend those responsible for the lockup death.
The Telangana CM ordered to give Rs 15 lakh compensation along with government job and house to Mariamma’s son Udhay. Also, KCR issued orders to CS to give 10 lakhs each to Mariamma’s two daughters.
Earlier today, Congress leaders submitted a representation to Telangana CM over the alleged custodial death of a Dalit woman in police lockup. CM assured the delegation that the TRS govt would not tolerate such acts and announced ex-gratia. Among those who met KCR were Bhatti Vikramarka, Sridhar Babu, Jaggareddy and Rajagopal Reddy.
It was the first time in 7 years that Congress has got the appointment of CM KCR at Pragati Bhawan.
