My film has no similarities with ‘Bala’: Avasarala Srinivas

Avasarala Srinivas has been asked one question constantly ahead of the theatrical release of his movie, ‘101 Jillala Andagadu’. Directed by Vidyasagar Rachakonda, it is about a balding youngster who loses his self-confidence and worries that he might never get married.

Incidentally, the Hindi film ‘Bala’ was also about a balding youngster. “I conceived the story way back. For that matter, when our film went on the floors in 2019, ‘Bala’ hadn’t even released in theatres. Even after Bala came, I didn’t feel the need to make any changes,” the ‘Jyo Achyutananda’ director says.

Avasarala is romancing Ruhani Sharma in the movie.
On the direction front, he is doing ‘Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi’. The film will resume its shoot next year.
