My film is biggest Indian hit during second wave: Kiran Abbavaram

Kiran Abbavaram today spoke at an event organized by Aha to celebrate the OTT “success” of ‘SR Kalyanamandapam’. Speaking on the occasion, the ‘Raja Varu Rani Varu’ actor thanked the audience.

“We were confident in the material but were tensed ahead of the theatrical release, which happened on August 6. We assured the distributors that the film will definitely draw the audience to theatres. With ‘SRK’, a lot of theatres started operating once again during the pandemic. I can say that our film has turned out to be the biggest Indian hit during the second wave of the pandemic,” Kiran said.

The event was attended by Sai Kumar, who has played Kiran’s father in the movie, as well. “Since ‘Police Story’, this is the only film that I have watched the maximum number of times in theatres,” the ‘Dialogue King’ added.
