Nani wins, Bollywood actor loses in comparison sport

Drawing comparisons is a favourite sport among movie buffs. The latest ones to be compared are Natural Star Nani and Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor. Ever since the trailer for the Hindi remake of ‘Jersey’ was released last evening, the ‘Kabir Singh’ actor has been compared with the ‘Tuck Jagadish’ actor.

The famous scene where Nani’s character is seen screaming with joy at a railway station in ‘Jersey’ has been recreated faithfully in the remake. The trailer features the scene. Since everyone loved the ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ actor in that particular scene in the Telugu original, Shahid is drawing a blank in the comparison sport.

Commenting on the moment, a Twitter user named Anju wrote, “Nani was so good in this scene and lived as Arjun that even when an actor like Shahid is recreating him, you still fail to connect. That’s the thing about remakes. You can’t re-do what the original actor has already given to a role, which is his heart and soul.”

The Hindi remake will hit the cinemas on December 31.
