On Friday, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights(NCPCR) charged Facebook to take action against the Instagram profile of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for violating the Juvenile Justice Act. Mr Gandhi was posted a pic of a nine-year-old girl’s parents who was raped and murdered in southwest Delhi.
Earlier, it wrote to Twitter to take action against Rahul Gandhi’s profile. Twitter has blocked the account of RaGa based on the complaint filed by NCPCR. Today, it has been written to FB. In the video shared by the Congress MP, the faces of the girl’s parents have been disclosed.
Under the JJ Act, 2015, the POSCO(Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act, 2012, the video shared by Rahul Gandhi is a violation of aforesaid acts and it demanded to remove the video from the Instagram profile of the leader.
After Twitter blocked his account, Rahul called the social media platform giant is biased and intervening with Indian politics.
