Hyderabad is the fastest growing city in the world, said Talsani Srinivas Yadav, Minister for Animal Husbandry. He was the chief guest at an event organized by the Water Board at the Multi-Purpose Function Hall in West Marredpally on Saturday. He said the water board is providing services to 190 villages along with GHMC. By keeping in the interest of the welfare of the workers, modern technology is being used to clear the Manholes said the TRS Minister.
Prior to 2014, there were constant protests for drinking water with empty bins. There were fights at taps and tankers for drinking water. But now those conditions do not exist, said Minister Talasani. Due to this, the Chief Minister took special care to solve the drinking water problem of the twin cities after the formation of the TRS government. The drainage and drinking water system established in Hyderabad to cater to the then population is still in operation.
New drainage and drinking water lines were not laid to meet the needs of the growing population. He said that many new projects have been undertaken after the formation of the Telangana government. Minister Talasani said that with this, the drinking water supply and drainage system will be developed in line with the current growing population.
