A ten-day night curfew has been imposed in 8 major cities of Gujarat for covid-19 control from Wednesday. In the wake of Covid third wave threat, a night curfew was imposed in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Junagadh, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar and Gandhinagar from 11 PM to 6 PM from Wednesday onwards.
The state government has issued orders imposing a night curfew till the 25th of this month. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has decided to impose a night curfew in 8 cities for controlling Corona. The restaurants and hotels are allowed to stay open until 10 PM. Only 400 people will be allowed in the functions.
In Gujarat, 11 corona cases have come to light. Corona cases were reported in Kutch, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar and Surat.
Coming to India, corona cases in the country have declined slightly. In the past 24 hours, 27,176 new corona cases have been reported in India and 284 people died. 38,012 positive victims were recovered.
The total number of corona cases in the nation has reached 3,33,16,755 so far and 4,43,497 deaths. 3,25,22,171 recovered and discharged from corona treatment. There are currently 3,51,087 active cases.
According to the Health Bulletin released by the Union Ministry of Medical Health on Wednesday morning, the corona vaccine has so far been distributed to 775,89,12,277 people across the country.
