No complete lockdown in Bengal: Mamata

The West Bengal state government is taking strict measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. However Covid cases are increasing day by day in the state. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced that the Covid-19 restrictions in West Bengal have been extended till June 15.  Didi said the situation in the state has become somewhat better due to these limitations and extending them to 15th June. She also said that there would be no complete lockdown in the state to save the economic system.

On the other hand, recoveries have surpassed the Covid active cases currently in the country. According to the Union Health Ministry,  the number of people recovering from Covid is higher than the number of cases reported daily.

The recovery rate increased from 85.6 percent to 90 percent. The central government said 24 states reported corona active cases had dropped significantly compared to last week. 3,847 people have died due to Corona in the country in the last 24 hours. Also, 2,11,298 cases were reported. Including these, the number of cases registered in the country so far has increased to 2,73,69,093 and  3,15,235 died due to Corona.
