Before congratulating newly elected Karnataka CM Basavarak S Bommai, PM Narendra Modi has recalled and lauded the contribution of Former CM BS Yediyurappa for the monumental construction of the BJP in Karnataka and taking the party close to everyone by travelling to each corner of the state. Modi said that there will be no words to ever justify BS Yediyurappa’s service to the party.
Later, he congratulated Basavaraj S Bommai for being elected as 23rd Karnataka CM. Before leaving for Raj Bhavan for the swear-in ceremony, Basavaraj Bommai met Former CM BS Yediyurappa and Central BJP observer & Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
On the other hand, there has been news stating that R Ashok will be given the post of Deputy CM. Regarding this, Mr Ashok said that the party will decide on it. Over this, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi responded to the ANI and said that no decision hasn’t been taken so far on Deputy CMs to be appointed in Karnataka.
Mr Basavaraj S Bommai who belongs to the Lingayat community has said that they will chair a meeting with government officials and monitor the covid and flood situation in the state.
