Official: ICC T20 World Cup 2021 is shifted to UAE from India

ICC T20 World Cup 2021 is shifted to UAE. BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla has confirmed this news. Today is the deadline given by ICC to BCCI to decide whether India has favourable conditions to host the T20 World Cup during the pandemic.

After analysing the current situations followed by the impending threat of the third wave, BCCI felt that the situations in the country were unpredictable. So, they’ve reported to the ICC that UAE is the ideal venue for hosting the T20 World Cup.

Mr Shukla said that qualifiers are likely to take place in Oman and the rest of the matches will be on three grounds in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.  He confirmed that T20 World Cup dates are going to be the same.  And the WC will start immediately after the IPL.

The WC qualifiers will start on 17th October and the final is on 14th November 2021.
