CPM senior leader Pinarayi Vijayan has been sworn in as Kerala Chief Minister for the second time in a row. Vijayan was administered the oath of office by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan at a ceremony held in the most modest manner following the Covid protocol.
The 76-year-old Vijayan made history by taking the LDF to victory for the second time in a row in the recent assembly elections. This is his second term as Kerala Chief Minister. The opposition Congress-UDF leaders have distanced themselves from the swearing-in ceremony of the CM in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak. It is learned that the Kerala High Court yesterday directed that only a small number of people should attend the event in the wake of the Corona epidemic.
Mr Pinarayi Vijayan is leading the way in fighting the pandemic. Many states are following him in controlling the Covid-19.
