There are rumours that election strategist Prashant Kishor is about to enter politics once again. It was known that earlier PK had served as the national vice-president of the Janata Dal-United (JDU) party led by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and later, left the party. He later worked as an election strategist. However, there are some rumours that he is going to join the Congress party.
On Tuesday, he met Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi at Rahul Gandhi’s residence in Delhi and Congress’ interim chief Sonia Gandhi was connected online during the meeting of PK with Rahul, Priyanka and KC Venugopal. The news of PK into Congress has been circulating since the meeting.
During the one-hour meeting, they have said to be discussed not only upcoming assembly elections in three states but also about 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Mr Prashant Kishor has been working as a political advisor to Punjab CM Amarinder Singh in the coming forthcoming Punjab assembly elections.
It was known that Prashant Kishore announced that he was quitting his job as an election strategist after the West Bengal Assembly elections. But, for some time, PK has been meeting non-BJP parties frequently along with NCP chief Sharad Pawar.
In the wake of news coming in that an attempt is being made to form a nationwide front against the BJP, PK’s series of meetings with non-BJP parties has gained political prominence.
