PM Modi has announced the ex-gratia of 2 lakhs to the victims of the Raigad landslide

The situation in Maharashtra is tense. Many districts have been severely affected due to incessant rains. Due to rains, 36 people died due to a landslide in Raigad. The rivers in Maharashtra has been overflowing above the danger mark.

PM Modi has been deeply anguished over the loss of 36 lives due to a landslide in Raigad has announced an ex-gratia of 2 lakhs and Rs.50,000/- to those who were injured in this tragedy.

Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah has been closely monitoring the situation and assured Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray to support in all ways. Uddhav Thackeray has ordered the officials to depute NDRF teams to flooded areas where there is a possibility of landslides and to rescue and relocate the people.

The CM also told to ANI that NDRF and rescue teams have been unable to reach flooded areas in Chiplun and other territories as roads and bridges were damaged badly. He said that the situation is still tense.
