AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will go on a seven-day tour to Lucknow ahead of next year’s Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. The party sources said the tour would be from Monday.
During the visit, she will hold lengthy meetings with party leaders and activists to review the party’s preparations for the Assembly elections 2022. As UP Congress in-charge Priyanka Gandhi paid a five-day visit from September 9th to 13th. She toured three days in Lucknow and two days in Rae Bareli and interacted with the party cadre.
In 2017, Congress won only 7 seats whereas the Samajwadi Party won 47 seats and the BSP won 19 seats. The BJP conquered UP by winning 312 seats out of 403 in the 2017 assembly elections with 39.67 per cent of the vote share.
