Rahane poor form continues, Virat departs for 44

The poor form of Indian Vice-Captain Ajinkya Rahane has been continuing. He is gone for the duck in the most important second innings of the fourth test. Both Virat(22) and Jadeja(9) started the proceedings today on Day 4 at 270/3.

After adding 8 runs to his score, Chris Woakes has sent Ravindra Jadeja back to the Pavillion. He is out for LBW. Later,  Woakes immediately sent the Indian vice-captain Rahane for a duck. Indian Skipper Virat Kohli who has been constructing the innings with Rishabh Pant has lost his wicket to Moeen Ali. Virat is out at 44.

Virat Kohli has made 55(125), 50(96) and 44(96) in the last 3 innings in this series. The Indian Skipper has completed 1000 runs in Test Cricket in England.  Now, it’s lunch on Day 4. Rishabh Pant(16) and Shardul Thakur(11) are at the crease. India is at 329/6, lead by 230 runs in the second innings with four wickets in hand.

To defend and win this match, India needs to put at least 350 runs on the scoreboard.
