It was known that both Upper and Lower Houses has been continuously adjourning due to the uproar of opposition parties over Pegasus, farm laws and hike in Petrol, Gas, and Diesel fares. PM Modi has lashed at the opposition for disrupting the proceedings in the Parliament.
On the other hand, Opposition Leader Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and the other leaders have been alleging that Modi has been spying on every Indian through Pegasus and intruded into everyone’s life. And they also alleged the Modi government is not allowing discussion on farm laws along with the Pegasus issue.
Today, Rahul Gandhi and the other opposition leaders have reached Jantar Mantar and extended their support to farmers by sloganeering ‘Save Farmers Save India’.
Over this, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has responded and said that the opposition is not ready to discuss farmers issues in both Houses as they’re doing it only to get the attention from the media. He said that the opposition always wanted to be in the media light and it won’t try for a solution.
Mr Tomar said that the government is ready for the discussion if they’re really concerned about farmers. And also questioned, “Why is the opposition not ready to talk?”
On Pegasus and Farm laws, both opposition and central governments have been blaming each other. But one thing is true, both Houses have been adjourning without any proceedings and no discussion has happened so far on any of the issues.
